Triskelion is a triple helix, symbolizing dynamics, continuous movement. It comes from Greek and the word triskeles means tripod. Identified with the movement of the sun (sunrise, zenith and west), the passing of time (past, present and future), or the elements, water, fire and air. It is one of the oldest symbols of sacred cult and occurring in various parts of the world and in various beliefs. It was supposed to protect against fire, theft and flood! Celtic triskelion are the next stages of incarnation: youth, maturity and old age (virgin, mother, elderly woman). For the Slavs, the triskelion symbolized life, resurrection and rebirth.
