Oregano Essential Oil

Oregano oil is famous for its power in the fight against bacteria, parasites and viruses. It has a very wide spectrum of action, it can fight antibiotic-resistant bacteria (due to the fact that it contains thymol and cervacrol). That is why it is often used for various diseases: from throat infections to gastric problems. Italians add it to hard-to-digest dishes,   because of its smell, taste, but also because it improves the work of the stomach and intestines. That's why it's one of their favourite spices. It works well in the fight against mycosis, warts, it is often an ingredient of antifungal preparations. This oil was widely recognized as a remedy for rheumatic pains and all kinds of sprains.

In ancient times, the Greeks used oregano to treat muscle pain, and the Romans made oregano oil poultices after spider bites.
